HOW DOES IT WORK?

Do I have to travel to umpteen different factories around China?

No - we enable you to travel to just one city in China, Yi Wu, where you can buy virtually every small commodity you can think of!

Do I have to buy huge volumes of one item though?

Traditionally yes - with us, NO!
If the item is in stock, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) can be as low as 1 carton.
If the item has to be ordered, the MOQ is higher - but this can be negotiated. Your translator will have experience of negotiating lower MOQs. Occasionally the shop will charge a slightly higher price in exchange for a lower MOQ.
It is worth noting that different shops often stock the same item - and different shops have different MOQs. With a little shopping around, you will be able to buy a smaller amount of goods.
If you wish to have your own logo on an item or change the packaging in any way, the MOQ will be increased significantly. The price will increase too as it is a special order.

Does this mean that I have to pay a lot more for my stock?

No - the shops / booths in Yi Wu's various markets sell products at just 3-5% above the manufacturers' cost price. However their minimum order quantity is often as low as 1 cardboard box. This means that, depending on the item chosen and whether it is currently in stock, you can purchase as few as 6 of one item!
This means that your warehousing needs are greatly reduced and you can purchase a variety of goods - not just be stuck with a container load of one item.

When do I have to pay for the trip?

Payment for the Chinese portion of trip must be made at the time of booking the trip with the sales representative in the UK, this can be done by credit or visa card (we do not charge a premium for using a credit card). We ask for at least 7 working days notice prior to travel so that we have some time to organize your personal arrangements - last minute trips are not always the best planned ones!

How much do I have to spend on stock?

There is no minimum spend, we can consolidate orders or send part containers to the UK. Of course it is worthwhile spending £2000 or more so that the cost of your goods is kept down. It would be pointless in spending money in coming over to China and not purchasing anything at all!

Are there any hidden charges?

No, we are upfront with our prices. There are no hidden charges and the price we quote you is the price you pay.
Initially we will give you a rough price in GBP in the shop for each item you are interested in as it takes a long time to calculate an accurate figure for each item, and we want to maximize your shopping time.
We will prepare accurate prices for each item in the office. The price, product description, picture etc will be entered into a unique spreadsheet prepared for you. This spreadsheet will also allow you to order your goods on the last day of your trip and will accurately reflect the current exchange rates.
